Important boundary

A calculator cannot know your whole case.

Zakat combines worship, ownership, time, intention, valuation, and sometimes local law. Software can organise facts; it cannot issue a personal ruling.

Scholarly differences

Qualified scholars and schools differ on matters including personal jewellery, deductible debts, pension funds, investment shares, inaccessible wealth, and the start or interruption of a lunar holding period.

Special categories

Agriculture, livestock, mineral wealth, some business structures, trusts, estates, and mixed charitable funds may follow rules not represented by the standard 2.5% monetary-wealth calculator.

Calculating is not endorsing

Including an asset in a Zakat calculation is not a ruling that owning or earning it is permissible. Whether a particular savings product, share, cryptocurrency or income stream is itself lawful is a separate question for a qualified scholar. Interest (riba) is prohibited: interest received is generally not kept, but given away separately, and that purification is distinct from Zakat.

Professional advice

Ask a qualified scholar for a personal religious ruling. Ask a regulated professional about tax, legal title, trusts, estates, corporate accounting, or investment valuation. Prepare dated records so the adviser can address your actual facts.

No payment service

Zakat Estimator does not receive or distribute Zakat and does not verify recipient eligibility. Confirm that any recipient or organisation meets the requirements of the view you follow.
